The questions brands ask before they start.

Nile adds a WhatsApp sales channel alongside everything you already run. Nothing gets replaced. These are the questions that come up most.

What Nile is

Social commerce is selling directly through the social platforms and conversations where people already spend time, like WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok, instead of sending them to a separate website to check out.
Nile is social commerce infrastructure for brands. It adds a WhatsApp sales channel to your existing store, with an AI Sales Assistant that turns content and conversations into paid orders.
Instead of a social post linking out to your website, Nile lets the whole conversation happen inside WhatsApp: the questions, the cart and the payment. Your AI Sales Assistant handles that conversation, so the sale closes where the customer already is.
Not yet. Growth Studio is in development and on a waitlist. Your WhatsApp sales channel is live now and is what brands run today.

How it works

You give it a name, a personality and training on your catalogue, sizing, delivery and returns policies. It then replies to customers on WhatsApp, answers product questions and guides them to checkout, within guardrails you set for what it can and cannot promise.
Yes. The customer builds their cart and pays in the same WhatsApp conversation, with no redirect to a separate browser checkout.
Every entry point is trackable, whether it is a creator's link, a paid ad or a story. An order that closes in WhatsApp ties back to the exact piece of content, and the creator, that started the conversation.
Each creator gets an attributable entry point into WhatsApp. Every sale traces back to specific content. You set commission and pay creators directly, Nile provides the measurement and the mechanism, not the payment.
Most shoppers already use WhatsApp daily. For anyone who does not, your website and your other channels carry on serving them exactly as they do now. Nile is additive, not exclusive.

Setup & integrations

Yes. Nile is built as a Shopify sales channel and installs from the Shopify App Store. It connects to your existing store and catalogue, so your products, pricing and inventory stay in step.
You do not need to build anything new. Nile adds onto the store you already have, such as Shopify, rather than replacing it or asking you to run a second site alongside it.
No. Nile is an entirely new sales channel that runs alongside your website. You keep your site, your domain and your customer data. It does not take sales away from what you already have. It opens sales you were not making, to customers you were not reaching.
You can start today and most brands are live within a week. Setup is mainly connecting your store, configuring your WhatsApp number, and training your Sales Assistant on your catalogue, sizing, delivery and returns policies. Enterprise integrations on other platforms are scoped separately.

Trust, payments & safety

Yes. Payment runs through secure, established payment providers inside the same thread. There is no separate, unfamiliar checkout page, which is often the more confusing and less trusted part of a normal online purchase.
No. Brands set guardrails for exactly what the Sales Assistant can promise, and what it must escalate to a person, based on their own policies.

Ownership and operations

You do. Customer records, order history and opt-ins belong to your brand. We process data on your behalf under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which is what POPIA and GDPR require, and you can export or delete your data at any time.
You do, through your existing OMS, courier stack and 3PL. Orders flow from WhatsApp into your normal ops; nothing runs in parallel.

Who it's for

Nile suits fashion, beauty, home décor and wellness brands especially well. These are the categories where customers usually want to ask a question before they buy.
Nile is built for brands of any size. If you are posting brand or creator content on social media, Nile is for you.

Pricing & getting started

Four published plans for Shopify brands, from $49 a month plus 2% of the sales that come through Nile, with a seven day free trial on every plan. There is no per-message billing. Creator commission sits outside this and you set it per creator. Enterprise and non-Shopify integrations are quoted individually, and that is the only case where a setup fee applies. See Pricing for the tiers.
Install Nile from the Shopify App Store, or book a demo and the team will show you how the AI Sales Assistant and WhatsApp checkout work for your brand.
